  1. Knowing prime, that Vista box is going to stay buried in his yard until some unsuspecting soul digs it up far in the future. It may become the only record of Vista that is preserved for future generations.

  2. It's been eight long years since I was last excited for an OS. I passed over Vista because it was the suckiest suck that ever sucked. Even the RC of Windows 7 rocks, and I'll be downloading my Windows 7 Pro 64-bit tomorrow. Can't wait. Awesome video guys. So, did Thrax end up getting lucky?

  3. AWESOME video, guys. My favorite part was watching the Vista box fall into the hole. With the slow-mo, it was perfect. Well done, guys!

I've never been (almost) choked up over the loss of an operating system before. The real tragic thing was the young Kid Vista was doomed from the start.

She and I have been knockin' boots since December. That was her twin sister.

    Snuffie?

  6. I really hate to say it, but that pickup move was kinda of forceful and arrogant. You clearly broadcasted your intentions as soon as you laid your eyes on the box. I'm still impressed, didn't even try for Home Premium, went straight for Ultimate.

  7. Box on your dick you have Robert.

  8. I'm still impressed, didn't even try for Home Premium, went straight for Ultimate.

You HAVE to know by now that Robert Hallock settles for nothing less than the very best...

  9. So... well..

we're pretty much all seeing the same girl now, aren't we?

  10. This bitch gets around.

  11. I love the video!

    ~Cyrix

  12. Well done, I loved this video.

  13. I saw this & cried, not tears of morning but of rejoice. With every ending there's a new beginning.

  14. I would quote GNR's I used to love her but I had to kill her, but I never loved Vista.

Seriously, Vista is the bloated old hag that you won't miss that long after you get a glimpse of the slim, trim and fit sexiness that is Windows 7.

  15. Wow, good job you've done with the video. It would me cry if it wasn't Vista.
Windows 7 ftw! I never had any issues with it until now, for months.

  16. I wish I could have a Windows 7 Whopper with this video

  17. Nicely done!! I must admit I was expecting a Win 7 party at the end.

  18. inb4 ZOMBIE VISTA

  19. that was awesome...DEATH TO VISTA!!

  20. I NEED ONE OF THOSE WHOPPERS!

  21. Yeah guys, Snow Leopard rocks doesn't it?

    /ducks

I still maintain that Vista was a great OS, ran it from the first beta and loved every minute of it, 7's much better but Vista was never the train wreck everyone said it was in my experience.

  22. I avoided the Vista problems by sticking with what works (for me). XP and IE6 !

I'm considering upgrading to 7 in a few months, I'll give everyone else some time to get the last minute details fixed, if there are any, before I have to deal with them myself. I need to make sure Windows Movie Maker works well in 7, and if I get it I'll go 64 bit so I can run ridiculous amounts of RAM.

  23. Lol, great vid!

  24. Yeah guys, Snow Leopard rocks doesn't it?

I'd like to hit it, and then quit it.

Vista ran well on my boxes at home, but supporting it for clients has rarely been anything other than painful. I have seen first-hand all of the complaints against Vista.

  26. ... I need to make sure Windows Movie Maker works well in 7 ...

WMM is officially abandoned, but will still work in 7 if you're crafty. It has been replaced by Windows Live Movie Maker.

  27. So... well..

we're pretty much all seeing the same girl now, aren't we?

I don't know about you guys, I've been seeing Mint lately. She makes me tingle.

7 is just my booty call.

  28. Ahem, that's like saying you're not going to upgrade because you don't know whether Paint still works. Time to stop cutting video with a rubber spatula.

  29. I agree with chris white, WMM is rubbish just use Imovie! / me ducks!

Guys, come on. This is Tim. The chances of Tim upgrading anything is near the chance of Natty becoming the official beer of Icrontic.

  31. Two zings in one line? Jimmy's getting good at this.

  32. Natty's not the official beer of Icrontic? Since when!

Seriously though, Tim, Have no fear, Windows 7 is pretty fantastic and I can suggest a host of freeware that will replace any native XP application and do everything so much better. Jump in, the waters fine.

You forget that you're talking to someone who openly admits to using IE6 still. He doesn't want water that's fine, he wants to swim in shark infested waters in a wetsuit made of fresh prosciutto.

  34. You forget that you're talking to someone who openly admits to using IE6 still.

lmao, we're on a role here!

    ----------

For the record, iMovie is in a league way above WMM, but I'd still happily give anyone but your mom shit for using it for anything serious. Speaking of which, has she finished editing our video yet?

  35. wetsuit made of fresh prosciutto.

If someone wears this, the ladies of IC will have their mouths all over you. I can imagine only fistfuls of win.

  36. Mine arrived via CityLink yesterday - the first retail version of Windows I have owned! - All previous versions have been OEM.

  37. I tried the Movie Maker 2.6 on my HP laptop that is running the 7100 RC of 7, and it worked fine. I didn't notice much difference.

So I'll be upgrading (yes, ME) to 7, I'll just have to wait a while for the extra $ to buy it. I'm thinking late February at this point unless extra cash comes in from somewhere before then.

  38. Now Tim, be careful - IE6 isn't even ALLOWED on Win 7. You might want to test the waters there first, buddy.

  39. I bet you can run it in XP mode.

  40. I bet you can run it in XP mode.

    SHUSSSHHH!!!

  41. If someone wears this, the ladies of IC will have their mouths all over you. I can imagine only fistfuls of win.

/me buys a sewing machine and many pounds of prosciutto.

Hey, any port in a storm amirite?

  42. I bet you can run it in XP mode.

    YOU, THERE! SHHH.

  43. Nice vid. But what...you couldn't afford a headstone?

  44. I think it's best that Vista is buried in an unmarked grave.

  45. It would have been better if Vista were burned at the stake, but that's just me.
