Unboxing the HP Envy 14 with Beats Audio

I’m happy to announce a new partnership that has been forged between HP, Icrontic, and me, DJ Meph. HP has sent me a fully-loaded HP Envy 14 with Beats Audio to use for DJing, producing music and creating video content for the web. In our first video of this series, we unbox the Envy 14 and give our thoughts and first impressions on the device. As I continue to use and explore the capabilities of this machine, I will be creating a video journal of my progress and sharing the experience with the Icrontic community. Please join us at the Icrontic Home Studio Discussion Thread and feel free to ask us any questions you have about the hardware, software and devices we use to produce music. It is my hope that we will continue to build and grow our home studio community and become the premiere resource for PC-oriented sound and music creators.

HP has provided me with this laptop in exchange for content produced for and with this machine. I will give my honest opinions, per our FTC disclosure agreement. This is not going to be a one-off review, rather a series of articles detailing my experience as a working professional musician with this laptop as one of the core pieces of my gigging set. If you want to buy an HP Envy laptop, and this content helped make your purchase decision, we would appreciate if you made your purchase through our affiliate program with HP. ardichoke I hate to be a negative Nancy (okay, no I don't)... but with HP stating they want to get out of the consumer PC market altogether, why would anyone consider buying one of their computers? I'd be concerned about a lack of support from a company that's ditching that division.

primesuspect A very legit and very good question.

I will spread the word to our support department, they're all laid off and we will be getting an answering machine that says "Please see Icrontic for all support needs"
