AMD awarded “Best CPU manufacturer” at Intel Sponsored Computer Trade Show !

Daniel Pass (Shorty) Irony... oh irony. AMD CAUSED something of a ruckus last night by winning the Computer Trade Show award for Best CPU Manufacturer at a shindig sponsored by Intel. Awards, presented by Intel, were given out throughout the night. However, the Intel lady left the AMD award until last, and walked off the stage rather than present it personally to a jubilant set of chaps. AMD were said to be delighted with. There's a nice big 'Sponsored by Intel' logo in the corner of the booth. How wonderfully ironic.

Irony… oh irony.

AMD CAUSED something of a ruckus last night by winning the Computer Trade Show award for Best CPU Manufacturer at a shindig sponsored by Intel.

    Hmmm... this is an interesting turn of events. You would have thought that Intel would have named themselves best CPU manufacturer.

    AMD, ounce for ounce, GHz for GHz, AMD beats the crap out of Intel. It has for years now. Not only that, AMD is cheaper. The second fastest Intel is at least 20% more expensive than the fastest AMD AND much slower...

    You buy Intel, you are paying more and getting less....
