AMD on Best Buy Shelves Again?

mmonnin (mmonnin) It looks like we may be able to buy AMD based systems at Best Buy after they pulled all AMD systems earlier this year.

Apparently eMachines will be fielding two A64 machines and one Sempron machine and HP will be putting out two A64 machines.

A source has told us that AMD systems are on the rise for back to school sales. Apparently Emachines is fielding two Athlon 64 models and one Sempron model. This would be up one A64 box from what I’ve last seen. Then also HP will be putting two Athlon 64 models on the shelves up from zero at Best Buy. This is a start, but still pales to the 6 Sam’s has had. Come on Best Buy, grow some already.

Could we be seeing some progress thanks to the antitrust suit now, or are these additions something that has been in the works already? That is the question.

    pfft i have 4 emachine A64 models 1 sempron and 2 hp A64 models 1 Compaq Turion64 Lappy and 1 gateway A64 lappy and 1 hp A64 lappy on my shelves right now man, Been that way for 3 months!

    May all those crappy (space-heater) PENTIUM CRAP BOMBS DIE!!!!!!!! This could be it! Finally! Pure processing power takes out the lousy algorithm pooo heads at intel (they dont deserve a capital i).     Yea that is true. I was generalizing though. I do have respect for the mobiles. Celerons suck, P4's in my opinion with comparisons just make alot of heat, and their flag ship processors are overpriced. But I was sorta mean, but I am sorry to tell you that I enjoy taking big "dumps" (haha) on intel.

    There was a news item awhile back where some stored pulles all of their AMD systems.
