Intel’s faithful customers have leaked that it will cut prices by 60% on its Pentium line to regain market share from the folks at AMD. The price cuts are rumored to hit at the end of July.
Executives at Micro-Star International and Gigabyte Technology, two of Taiwan’s biggest makers of circuit boards for computers, said Intel officials told them the price cuts will start July 23.
I think Intel is going to not only screw themselves in this but the entire semiconductor market. Let the war begin.
