We’re just hours away from the official start of Apple’s 1 PM EDT MacBook event, and we’ll kick off the coverage by laying out some of the rumors swirling thus far:

• A user by the name of JR, the very same who leaked the first certifiably-authentic images of the recent iPod Nano, has struck back! A blurry shot of what appears to be a new MacBook Pro reveals rounded edges, a piano black bezel, a high gloss quotient and a trackpad that appears to be its own button.
• Gizmodo has also done a mockup of the blurry shot, cleaning the image up with a 3D render.
• Could Apple’s sub-$1000 notebook actually be new Apple displays?
