Apple September 9 roundup

Apple cultists everywhere follow this stuff closer than they follow which shoes Sarah Palin chose to wear today, but we’ll just give you the quick and simple wrap-up:

  • New iPod Nano: Slimmer, different look. Comes with “clicker” headset like iPhone has.
  • New iPod Touch: Slimmer, different look so it doesn’t look just like an iPhone. New built in speaker, new volume control on side.
  • iPhone OS 2.1: Patches, fixes, etc.
  • iTunes 8: “Genius” auto playlist feature.
  • HD shows: On iTunes for $2.99 per episode.

There you have it! iTunes 8 is available immediately for download, and is rather swank. Your mileage may vary on the remaining items.
