ATI Catalyst 9.11 released

ati_logoFresh out of the oven, AMD has just served up a brand new Catalyst driver for Radeon HD 3000, 4000 and 5000-series GPUs. These WHQL-certified Windows XP/Vista/7 driver delivers the following changes:

  • GPU acceleration for Adobe Flash 10.1 beta on supported Radeon products.
  • Transcoding enhancements for users converting broadcast HD streams (1080i@60Hz) into portable formats like 320×240@30p.
  • Several bug fixes for games, GPU video acceleration and the CCC for all Windows OSes.

  1. I installed this today, and I think it broke my [64 bit] k9 web protection filter (beta) software. According to the release notes, not much change, but added support for the new Flash 10.1 h.264 video decoding.
