G.Skill_PI_dc_DDR3_kit_01G.SKILL announced on Friday the immediate availability a DDR3-2200 kit specifically for Lynnfield-based Intel systems, though the new DIMMs should work on AM3 Phenom II rigs just as well.

The new 2×2GB kit uses 7/10/10/28 timings and squeaks across the line at the Intel-mandated 1.65V maximum VDIMM. The new modules use the company’s minty fresh Pi cooling assembly, which is quite swank and smashingly nerdy.

More significantly for G.SKILL, DDR3-2200 modules are the company’s ticket to ride in what is now an elite trio of firms touting the fastest modules on earth: Super Talent, A-Data and G.SKILL.
