Reporting live from Icrontic Oktoberfest 2009, Day 2 of 4:

The party is in full swing, with the Michigan autumn weather being incredibly cooperative. There are tons of amazing people at ICHQ, celebrating the Icrontic Life. The beer selection is as if a professional brewer put together a “best of…” list, the music is incredible, and the guests are not only being wonderful, but also having a great time.

This is truly the core of what makes Icrontic great: certainly, we’re all tech enthusiasts, gamers, and professionals; but more importantly, we’re an amazingly tight-knit and welcoming group of friends. There are old veterans who have been with Icrontic for almost a decade, and complete newbies who are astounded at the treasure trove they’ve stumbled upon.

Tomorrow the costume party starts, but right now, I am reveling in the warmth and joy of this “little” group of close friends who have flown in from all over the country to party in an assuming house in little ol’ Warren, Michigan for a warm and beautiful autumn weekend.
