You may wish to think twice if you are a devoted user of Apple’s iPod and are considering upgrading your computer to Microsoft’s Vista Operating System. Among the various compatibility issues that may crop up are an inability to play music or video purchased from the iTunes Store, problems synchronizing address book contact and calendar functions, and slowed runtime. If that is not enough to make you wary, there is a chance that plugging an iPod into a computer running Vista may corrupt the device.
Apple offers this advice to those contemplating a move to Vista.
Update: The vaunted Register has now caught up to the news we brought you over the weekend concerning potential Vista/iPod conflicts. It appears that Apple has now released a repair tool for users encountering permissions problems with what they refer to as “Vista 1.0″.
