Even DIY PC die-hards can appreciate the svelte lines of Apple’s wafer theeeen wireless and USB keyboards. Hackers apparently like them too.
Digital Society is reporting a guy called “K. Chen” found a way to hack the Mac keyboard with a nefarious firmware update that can key log and potentially execute a keyboard command through the console to really open up systems to a digital assault. According to reports, it only takes 18 seconds and because it’s a keyboard firmware hack, reformatting won’t fix the problem. Check out the video here.
Thankfully K. Chen is working with Apple engineers to fix the exploit saving every Apple store in the nation from being unwilling participants in what would otherwise be a nice botnet.
