In this morning’s edition of Icrontic Speed News, I’ll get you up to date on all the hip happenings around the web as quickly as possible. This first one comes courtesy of my home state and county.

Oakland County, Michigan has a municipal wifi rollout. To say that it is terrible is being generous. Not only are the speeds abysmal, but connectivity leaves quite a lot to be desired. Now the powers that be for the deployment suggest that it needs another $70m to be finished.

  1. I'm in Troy right now and I have to walk around the parking lot to even be able to SEE "Oakland Wireless"... But I have never been able to connect to it

  2. I can see it from my house, but it will never connect. It's pitiful.
