Short-Media downtime

In order to merge the Short-Media and Icrontic databases, we will be taking both forums offline tonight around 10pm EST. After fully backing up all our databases and files, we will begin the merge. We expect the process will take approximately two hours if everything goes smoothly; one for the complete backups, one for merging and testing. This puts the finish time at around midnight.

We will bring the forums back online before relaunching the main page to minimize our downtime. Expect periodic errors and inconsistent formatting between the time the forums come back online and Saturday evening as we finish the transition. Thanks for your patience!

If you are registered on both sites, PLEASE make sure you are using the same e-mail address on both sites before 10pm EST!

    I decided to turn the board back on before finishing because I'm behind schedule.

    Permissions, forums, and threads should all be correct. Search will probably not work complete (it will only find like half the results for now).

    User accounts did not merge correctly. Also, Icrontic avatars don't work. Otherwise, everything went smoothly I hope.

    Still working, patience as I bumble about.

    Trogan, Icrontic and Short-Media are one and the same. Icrontic is our legacy. Were it not for Apushardware and Icrontic, there would not have been a Short-Media. It's our roots.
