Teen strikes back against RIAA in court

A New York teen has counter-sued the recording industry in response to their allegations that he is a “pirate”.

His counter-suit accuses the RIAA of defamation, defrauding the courts, extortion, and violations of US anti-trust law. Furthermore, his defense includes significant evidence that the teen already owned on CD all of the music he is accused of stealing.

Has “fair use” fallen completely by the wayside?
